Download my Bio | Get a Quarterly Moosleter ![]() My full name is November Luv and I’m a Jersey cow. It’s kind of an interesting story how I got my name. The November part is easy to understand since my mother’s name was October, and I was born Thanksgiving Day, November 21, 2002. The second part has to do with mothers— my mother and my farmer Julie’s mother. My mother, October, was loved so much by my farm family that they decided to name each of her calves a term of endearment. I have two older sisters named Honey and Sweetie. On the day I was born, Julie’s mother was visiting from New York. Her husband called her Luv. It didn’t take long for Julie to come up with the idea of naming me Luv, after her mom. So, my full name became November Luv. In the barn, I have the best stall for milking. I’m located in the first stall next to the milk house so I receive lots of attention. At first, I was a little shy, but now I love greeting people as they come into the barn. When it’s time to head out to pasture after milking, I have a very unusual method of existing from my stall. Most of my herd mates back a little way out of their stall and then turn around. I back out straight into the walkway and then pivot on my hooves. Julie thinks it’s a hoot.
