French toast is an all-time favorite for kids and adults from all over. By using lowfat yogurt instead of sour cream you can get that same great taste, with far fewer calories!

Ingredients

12 sli cinnamon raisin bread
1 c Stonyfield Organic Low Fat Plain Yogurt
1/4 c Stonyfield Organic 1% Milk
4 eggs
1/2 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t ground nutmeg
2 t vanilla extract
Salt to taste

Preparation:

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, beat together eggs, yogurt, milk, salt, spices and vanilla extract.

Step 2

Heat a lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium-high flame.

Step 3

Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides.

Step 4

Place in pan, and cook on both sides until golden.

Step 5

Serve hot and top with yogurt or fresh berries.

This recipe serves 3, so a serving is 4 slices? and only 163 calories per serving (40+ per slice)? Bread alone is more than that. Please clarify. Haven't tried recipe yet, but you require a star rating to comment, so my rating is based on appearance only, minus one star because of the confusing figures. It looks and sounds wonderful!
