Guidance from the FDA’s Closer to Zero Action Plan, which identifies actions the agency will take to reduce exposure to toxic elements in foods eaten by babies and young children to lowest levels possible, as well as approved legislation from U.S. States, like California, that require food brands and products specific to babies and young children less than 2 years old to conduct rigorous testing for toxic heavy metals and to disclose these results to consumers.
